We present the client interface of the prototype Mneme persistent object store. Mneme stores objects, preserving their identity and structural relationships. Its goals include portability, low overhead and extensibility. This document is intended to be an introduction to Mneme fir applications programmers. We discuss the basic concepts of Mneme and the interface from the programmer’s point of view. An example application program is given in the appendix.
